The name of the facility is "On Base Performance" and will cater to the local younger generation of future athletes to provide a place to help develop skills needed to grow. This has been a dream for the both of us to open a facility in the town we both live in. Our family run facility will be open and operating by 1/1/2026.
Background:
Matthew Lowney (Co-Owner)
Matt has been living in Canton with his family for 10 years. Matt grew up in Milton and moved to Canton in 2015. Matt's extended family also live in Canton and have been members of the Canton community for over 25 years. Matt has watched two nieces play sports in Canton and went onto college to continue playing. Matt worked for UPS for 5 years and for over a year delivered to Draper Properties as part of his route. His love for the building, company and its roots was something he never forgot. After working at UPS, Matt worked as an Operations Manager for a distribution company for 6 years. Matt grew up in the construction industry and has extensive knowledge in this field, which will help the day to day operations. When the opportunity arose to start OBP, it was a call he was ready for. Watching his child develop sports skills has been a thrill of a lifetime. This will only strengthen his passion for helping others achieve the same.
Robert Giglio (Co-Owner)
Rob is a lifelong resident in Canton (born and raised). He is the true definition of a "townie." He grew up on Bolivar Street and his family still resides in Canton. Rob has been working in software sales for over 20 years. With his children participating in the Canton Little League program, Rob got more involved with volunteering and coaching his kids and nieces. He served 5 years on the Canton Little League board as a player agent and later as Secretary. Rob coached Little League for 7 years, and coached club for 3 years. He hung up the clip board in 2025 to spend more time watching his children play rather than coaching. The opportunity to operate a facility in Canton is something he believes is great for the town. Growing up with limited space to train is something Rob is happy to provide- not only to his children, but the youth of Canton.

The facility offers 7 cages. All cages are separated by divider net that can open up the space. Multiple teams can use the space and one time. A full softball infield can be set up by opening the 4 60x16 cages.

Pulling back the 6 dividers the entire turf field can be 100x60. Our turf is perfect for physical training, intimate shadow-play, team practices/drills, or 1 on 1 development.

Pulling back the 6 dividers the entire turf field can be 100x60. This provides the ability for a small-sided 6v6 game, or just practice drills.

Any of our 60' cages can accommodate a solid lane for training. The full turf field of 100x60 is the official dimensions of an indoor court.

Single Cage or full field rental, and high school and youth program based teams can use the facility.

The full facility, or half the facility can be setup to handle multiple teams depending on age.
